Memories & Candles
To all Ed's family and friends,
It was my great privledge and honor to have served with Ed on the St. Joseph Township Board....he always did and voted his conscience and stood his ground for the right answers....political or other pressure didn't phase him in the least and he almost always ended up being right.....I enjoyed playing golf with Ed and he could always beat me (if only by a stroke or two).....his devotion to his church, and especially his family,

Softball...the good old days. I remember him seating in his lawn chair rain or shine. He would tell me his stories of him being a catcher back in the day. That was the time when I was catching for his awesome granddaughter. The best pitcher around.
I was reading his obituary today and I read that he was a medic for WWII. I finished my medic class two days ago. Pretty neat, I might say!
My condolences go out to the family and friends. What a wonderful sweet hearted man.
Sincerely,
Sarah Wilson

It was a pleasure to play for Mr. Sieber on the Colts in the early days of the Fairplain Little League at Fairplain West. My thoughts are with Jim and all the family at this time.

Ed was such a lovely man, and it was my pleasure to have known him during the years attending SJ Twp board meetings. It always made me smile to see he and Ed Petlick drive into the parking lot and share their always-kind greetings. A true gentleman he was. My condolences to the family.

I was just reminded of Ed the other day, his name is on note clipped to my folder. I see it almost everyday, and it reminds me of a wonderful man I had the pleasure of meeting. I loved to listen to his life stories as he kept smiling and finished his exercises. I am very sorry for your loss.

I remember your father and mother very well. They would visit Aunt Josephine (Umphery) at my grandparents(Wieser) house in Watervliet. He had a keen sense of humor and his conversation was engaging, I was very fortunate to have known him.

Dear Friends,
May your memories long be with you of your Father (& Mother). I have such fond memories of great discussions and Ed and I going to Burger King for - as he called it - "a good burger"! When he would call me he
would say, "I'm getting awful hungry, can we go for a burger?" He spoke so proudly of all of his family and how enjoyed them coming to visit him
at the Whitcomb. When I was at the
