Donna M. Hamilton, 88, of Benton Harbor, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Sunset Shores Assisted Living in Benton Harbor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Private burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 4:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Sarett Nature Center. Donna was born September 9, 1923 in St. Joseph to Charles & Mamie (Borst) Kerlikowske. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1940. On April 18, 1941, she married Jack C. Hamilton in St. Joseph. Donna was a long time member of Berrien Hills Country Club where she was in the Nine & Eighteen Hole Golf Leagues and the Bowling Group, and a member of the Civic Benefit Club. When her children were young, Donna served as den mother for boy scouts and as home room mother at the school.

Donna is survived by her children-Ronald (Sandie) Hamilton of Jensen Beach, FL, Jack Hamilton of Kalamazoo, Michael (Victoria) Hamilton of St. Joseph, Jill Brummett of St. Joseph and Sally (James) Jankowski of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother Charles "Bud" (Shirley) Kerlikowske of Stevensville; her sister Jeanne Tosi of Stevensville; numerous nieces & nephews; special care givers Heidi and Teri, and Jeanne and staff at Sunset Shores; and special friend Rosalie Koch. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, on July 10, 2001, and her sister June Morse.
