Mark A. Kruggel, 68, of Murphy, North Carolina, died February 1, 2012 in Union County, Georgia.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Joel Kruggel officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Gideons International. Mark was born on January 11, 1944 to Arthur and Lilly (Kurbis) Kruggel in St. Joseph, Michigan. He graduated from Arizona State University. Mark moved back to his hometown of St. Joseph, Michigan where he married Patricia Cicero. He later moved to Vero Beach, Florida. After the loss of Patricia in 1986, Mark retired from banking and moved to Murphy, North Carolina. While in Murphy, he met and married Cecelia Dunahoo.

Mark is survived by his wife Cecelia Kruggel; three sons John (Michelle) Kruggel of Steinhatchee, Florida, Jeff (Bethany) Kruggel of Hodgenville, Kentucky and Chad (Yvette) Kruggel of Murphy, North Carolina; brother Rev. Joel (Vicky) Kruggel of St. Joseph, Michigan; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
