Mary Etta Kronbetter, 83, of St. Joseph, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Christopher Noffke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Those wishing to share a memory of Mary Etta may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Mary Etta was born May 4, 1928 in South Bend, IN to Walter & Iva Mae (Steimle) Kolberg. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1945. She then attended the Chicago Institute of Music. On April 4, 1948 she married Walter Kronbetter in Sodus, MI. Mary Etta worked for Fred Jung Real Estate for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and traveling.

Mary Etta is survived by her husband Walter Kronbetter of St. Joseph; daughter Cheryl (John) Kobrin of Jackson, MI; son William (Patricia) Kronbetter of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren Jennifer Kobrin, Sharon Kobrin and Ryan Kronbetter; sister Betty Edinborough of Coloma; Mary Etta was preceded in death by her parents.
